Girl Scouts of Utah:

New Design, Same Mission

During my time as the in-house designer, I ate a lot of cookies… and designed a variety of materials that spoke to local audiences throughout the state, following the national brand and style guides. When I joined, the organization was refreshing its visual style guide and communications and enrollment strategies.

Targeting Different Audiences

Girl Scouts of Utah’s stakeholders and clients are diverse, and materials need to adapt to each audience. From working professionals with no relation to the organization (like the materials for the fundraiser above), to recruiting girls, or reinforcing current membership, both printed and digital materials are differentiated.

A Designed Experience

Being a Girl Scout can be a life-changing experience, and design is part of a successful membership. Recruitment materials, manuals, emails, social media graphics, guides, t-shirts, and patches need to embody the energy of the organization.
