Grand Theatre 16/17 Season:
Concept & Illustration
Grand Theatre is Salt Lake Community College’s resident theater company, and for their 2016-2017 season they wanted unified, illustration based materials to target their students and the larger community.
For my research, I read the plays and watched their film versions to identify colors, textures, and imagery that best expressed the spirit of each play.

In A Street Car Named Desire, for example, I use the texture and blue of denim, the drinking and gambling representative of Stanley. Blanche appears as a queen of hearts, wearing a tiara just like does in the play.
